Teaching Philosophy

 

I believe that every student learns differently. My teaching is patient, flexible, and attentive to each student’s personality, goals, and individual way of learning. I work to find approaches that help students feel understood, motivated, and confident at the piano.

My goal is to help students build strong technical and musical foundations while discovering beauty, expression, and their own voice in music. Technique is never separate from artistry: even while developing essential skills, students can learn to listen deeply, shape a phrase, and communicate meaning through sound.

 

I also believe that hard work is the foundation of artistic freedom. Through thoughtful and consistent practice, students gain the skills and confidence to express themselves more fully. I strive to create an encouraging environment where students can grow not only as pianists, but as curious, independent, and expressive musicians.
